1999 Johnson 90hp. After engine is started and the systemcheck chirps are completed it is followed by a 10 second steady horn and then the check engine light stays on. I am thinking it is an overheating issue. Seems to go away after engine is cooled and when I turn the key on but on start the engine. Even though I am getting a good stream from my pee hole could it be the deflectors or a weak water pump not getting water to the engine? Is there a way I can test what side of the motor is overheating if that is the case and what sensors can I unplug to test?
