Took my Crestliner to a mechanic to have this motor mounted and adjusted. When he ran it there was a small water leak from one of the bottom bolts that hold the cylinder cover where the spark plugs are. He attempted to tighten the bolt after heating it and twisted it off. He then filled the hole with silicone and no more leak and he said it would be fine. After we discussed my feelings about the repair I brought the boat home. I ran it for about 20 minutes and pulled the nearest plug and there is no indication that water might be getting in the cylinder but I'm still concerned that after taking it out and running it hard it may start to leak internally. What is everyone's thoughts. It isn't a technical repair but grinding off all 23 bolts to replace the gasket and broken bolt is going to be a nightmare.
