My 100hp Mercury has a serial number stamped on a small silver disk. It is "B310678". It shows on Crowleymarine.com for parts and diagrams, but no further information. Can anyone help me identify the year it was made? what the model is? any particulars that would be helpful? where to get an owner's manual? I know it is what is called a 2x2 (runs on 2 cyl at low rpm, then raises to 4 cyl above 2,000rpm). It runs very smoothly and starts easily. I would just like to know model and year and whether B310678 is in fact the serial number. Any help will be appreciated.

beckoning;

Here is an English site for you:

100 1988 ELPTO B209468 - C099999

From here:

http://www.maxrules.com/models/Merc_model_files/60-100.html

Also forgot to include the online service manual for you in last post:

http://1manual.com/Mercury manuals/Service Manual PDFs/TwoStroke/13645_2/cover.pdf

You must have Adobe Acrobat reader installed to use this manual. If you scroll down to the lower part of the opening page, you will see the various engine components in red. Click on the one you want and when the first page opens, click on the "Save As" icon at the top LH corner of the page and you can save it to your computer.
