Having removed the lower unit after a small oil leak in weep hole, lower unit seals looked fine, however noticed oil like leak coming from exhaust port. What could it be?
Rex: Engine smokes very little and runs good I use penzoil 2/cycle outboard oil. This motor has not run more than 20 hrs, in last 3 yrs. Thanks for everyones help ! Will have more questions later.
Every mechanic I have EVER met - both Auto and Especially Boat - say NO PENZ!

Its a parrafin based oil that offers less protection than the asphalt based oils like Quaker State or Wal-Mart Synthetic.
Nonsense. Every source of crude has unique characteristics. Those wrenches have been listening to too much smoke. Pennsylvania crude makes excellent lubricants.

I still recommend Super Tech.

Red sky at night. . .
JB
My two cents.
I agree with JB. My '90 Ford Taurus has had Pennzoil in it from the first oil change. It now has over 215000 miles & still runs smooth & clean.
Bill.......
Take an engine apart that has had Quaker State burned in it for any length of time. Mine had a gray ash like substance under the top layer of oil (inside a 4 stroke). I'll take Pennz any day.

My 2 cents
