105 runs .... no water ???

hey guys. i got the 105 to fire up today and boy does she sound mean .. :) the
problem is there was almost NO water coming out of the tell tale. it was more
like a really heavy mist and it was pretty hot. also the cylinders and cylinder
heads got fairly hot pretty quick. its been sitting 3 years .. possible bad
water pump?? ( impeller ) how hard is that to replace ? does the whole lower unit need to come off ? thanks guys, scott

Yes, need to drop the lower unit, the water pump sits on top if it.

Look at the sticky on how to change a waterpump. It is fairly simple if you are handy.

thanks john. i also posted this over at chrysler crew and was told to deff replace the impeller. they also thought that the problem may not even be the pump. ill have to check out the thermostat, water passages, etc ... ill be ordering a service manual tonight. are you a chrysler guy john ?? i may need some help .. LOL SCOTT
