110 Johnson, sputtering and coughing

Low 80's, 110hp Johnson that I can't get to run smoothly. VRO has been deleted. Plugs and coils are good. Fuel filter replaced. Had the carbs cleaned but not much faith in the mechanic. When I got it back it was leaking gas from the small fuel lines. He didn't replace them and I had to bring it back to have him do so. Compression is 110 in two cylinders and 105 in the others. Sputters and coughs. Thoughts, ideas?? Thanks

Remove cylinder head on the one with 105 PSI.----Likely it is suffering from broken piston rings.-----Very , very common failure !!
