I have an 1987 110 that sat for three monthes over winter. When I started it, It runs for two minutes and the overheat horn sounds. Water impeller looks good (only 6 monthes). should I change it and the thermostats. Any help would be great

Check waterpump, thermostats, and water passage deflectors, in that order.

Sections of rubber tubing that direct the flow of water around the cylinders in your engine.

I had the same problem with my 96 90hp crossflow when i de-winterized it. I removed the t-stat hoses from the head sprayed some lubricant on the t-stats through the housing then poured some hot water into the t-stat housing with a funnel. The t stats opened and the overheating went away.
