The red wire is un-fused 12vdc from the battery. The white wire is either from the "start" position of the ignition switch to the neutral switch or from the neutral switch to the starter solenoid.

c/6
Hooty

The motor starts and runs fine though i have no instuments installed yet she runs up the river great. So the red wire is just a power source for whatever is needed???Not clear on what your saying the white would be used for..The wiring was a wreck when i got it so i am having to figure it all from scratch almost.

The neutral switch is in the control. It prevents the engine from starting in gear. There should be a white wire that goes from the "start" post on the ignition switch to one side of the neutral switch. There should be another white wire going from the other side of the neutral switch to the small "+" post on the starter solenoid.

c/6
Hooty
