115 Four stroke ran for 40 seconds out of water

My wife took the boat out yesterday and pulled it out of the water with the motor idling. She said it ran just under a minute. Motor still pees. Anything else I should be worried about or since it is peeing well am I fine? Thanks.

You may be lucky but probably took some life out of the impeller. 40 seconds doesn't sound like a long time but a dry water pump can build up a lot of friction and heat in that time. As long as you're getting water from the pisser it's pumping water.
