115 HP 1978 Evinrude... I guess I thought it was a 4 cycle...

Trying to get a tach for it and never really thought about it. Is it a 2 cycle? <br /><br />Thanks for bearing with my questions... <br /><br />Gary

I guess with having to add oil to the gas this precludes having an additional stroke so I'm assuming it's a 2 cycle... Thanks... Gary

Yes, it is a 2-cycle. One pint of TCW-3 rated oil to six gallons of 87 octane fuel.
