I have a 1995 four Winns Turbo Jet I am trying to convert to mix gas. I have read the description in the "top secret" file but mine is a little different and I just need some clarification on an item or two.

Attached is a picture on my engine. It shows a round canister that is about 8 inches in height. (I dont have the service manual yet so forgive me if I use the wrong descriptions).

This is what I have done so far:

On the box that holds the oil, I have disconnected the two wires that seemed to be spliced into a wiring harness on the port side of the engine.

On the starboard side of the engine(shown in the picture) is a canister with a wiring harness that is plugged in on top of the engine. I disconnected that.

I pulled off the hose that went from the bottom of this canister and plugged into the side of the engine. I cut a 2" piece of hose, plugged one end and fastened it back on the elbow coming off the side of the engine.

I removed the oil box. I have put oil into gas tank 50:1 and pumped the primer until mixed gas is at the carburetors.

What I would like to know is: Did I do this right? Where is the fuel pump? Is the fuel pump and the oil pump in that canister? Sure looks like a pump of some kind in there. Is it a fuel pump and an oil pump? If so, can I disconnect the wires for the oil pump and leave the fuel pump active?

If anyone has this same setup, PLEASE let me know if this is right or what else I need to do. It would suck to drag the boat to the lake to find it wont start because I missed something.

Thank you for your help

So that is some kind of jet boat with a modified outboard powerhead? Those two round objects are not the OMS pump. One looks to be a trim motor (strange idea for a Jet boat). A few more pictures might help. The OMS pump on an outboard is located front, starboard side and low on the powerhead.
