Take a look for a large welch plug on the block Mike. Model No. will be on there. The Model and Serial number tag is usually on the port transom bracket.
Could not find a welch plug. Could it be behind the starter. Someone added a transom bracket with tilt that does not match the motor. This bracket does'nt let the motor drop far enough. The boat does a "wheel stand" at very low speed. I need to get a transom mount that will let the motor drop.
Tryed that, not enough room to still keep the transom mount hooked on the boat. If I had an idea what year it was I should be able to get one through a salvage yard.
