I may be able to pick this up this weekend, and the seller claims that the ID plate seems to have broken off. But, he sent me some detailed pictures. Yes, I know the motor is real beat up. Could yall ID this for me? Thanks a bunch.

If that is the power tilt and trim inside the bracket I would think it was a 78 or 79 model ( up to 77 had the lift arms on the outside) since the power pack has the individual screws instead of plugs. I am sure someone else can ID it better than I can though.

I know the round disk, but don't know where it is (that could be rephrased into I don't know the round disk).

I wasn't gonna even try to send the seller on a wild goose chase, looking through the powerhead. Although he is very helpful, and all, he doesn't seem to know a flip about outboards, so I wasn't gonna push it too far.

well, it's prior to the primer valve, by the way the choke linkage doesn't look right. doesn't have the block mounted fuel pump, uses the hose to the block. 70's early 80's i can't tell if it is electric shift, but i don't think so, which puts it 73 and newer. you could go to brp and look up some of the various years of 115hp.

i you go to look at it. print out the page from outboardbooks.com, for the model #'s of the 115's. i do this when i go look at an unknown motor. that way i know for sure what i'm looking at.
