115 Johnson on my Deckboat

Hello out there. I apologize if this is a dumb question and I'm missing the obvious. This is my first foray into bigger boats.

I'm used to puttering around in a johnboat or something, so I have a couple of questions about my new(used) purchase....

I bought a deck boat that has a 115 Johnson on it. The motor sits kinda low, the guy i boat it from says that its tilted up as far as it goes. My first question is... how do I tilt the motor up for transport? Does it tilt up so that a transon saver/outboard support would fit under it? If so, how do I get it to tilt up?

Also, my engine is a 1983 115 hp Johnson Seahorse. I've not seen anything on the motor to indicate that it's VRO, so I should assume it isn't correct? I've also not seen a seperate oil reservoir, so that's another tip that it isn't.

Any help or advice you vets could give this novice would be great!! Oh yeah, any tips on launching and trailering a boat solo? Anybody else out there with a deck boat? Shout out!

Thanks,
Anthony

Re: 115 Johnson on my Deckboat

Sweet, a true jedi master answered my question!!! (been lurking on the forums for quite some time. And tashasdad is kind of a a big deal around here!)

Yeah, I'm basically a loser with no friends! LOL. Wanna come hang out in Texas? There is so much I can learn from you!

What do I need to do to tilt the motor up more? It's tilted as far as it can with the trim on the motor? IS there a lever I'm missing?

Thanks for responding, btw.
