115 johnson seahorse

When I raised the tilt it went all the way up and kept running untill I disconnected the Batt.cable. I then pushed the down button ,it din not go down and motor kept running same as before.. Do you-all have any ideas as how to fix it or how to get the motor fully down? Joe

sounds like you have a stuck switch or solenoid/relay.

On the 1978 T&T, raising the motor uses a solenoid but lowering the motor does not.

You probably have either a stuck solenoid or wiring has shorted. Start by examining the circuit box.
