I am sure everyone has had their fill of my troubles but I have one more Q: Can I convert my 20in shaft to a 25in shaft by buying a new Lower housing and shaft? I know there are shaft extension kits but I was quoted over five hundred for the extension. If there is no way to convert from a long shaft to a XL shaft I am just going to sell the motor for what I bought it for. So I will have a 115 oil injected Mariner for sale for $1300. Email if you have a way I can fix this or if you want it.

Bay Manufacturing makes extension kits. You need a driveshaft extension, shiftshaft extension, exhaust housing extension, water pipe extension, and the hardware. That would be easier and cheaper than getting a longer driveshaft and an exhaust housing alone, not to mention all the labor involved.
