115 Mercury Single Tilt Ram ?

Hello all i am wanting to know if a single ram trim and tilt works the same as the three ram system as in can the single ram system still be used to trim up the motor at WOT,i ask this because i am looking for a replacment for my 3 ram system on my 1993 and have found a single ram system on a 98 model thanks for reading.

single ram should not be used for more than 120HP. single ram has two different sizes of mounting shaft and two different sizes of anchor brackets to match. Go through parts diagrams and look for a manual assist trim for your engine. Write down the part number for the anchor bracket used. Now go look up the trim system that you want to use and see if it uses the same anchor bracket. If it does then you should be able to use that trim system on your engine. If not, then not.
