HI I have been working on a rough idle stalling issue. I went thru the whole motors fuel and ignition system- and am now working on checking/replacing reed valves. I can't get the oil tank out--I undo the bolts- and hoses- but cannot get that tank off/out---it hits the cowling and the latch in front for the top cover---and hits the throttle body in back (of the tank). Is it a brute force thing- or am I doing something very obviously wrong---the tank is full of oil----the manual says to drain it- but everyone else says just pinch or plug oil hose.
Second- in my quest to get this running- I removed the fuel rail- to send it in for injector cleaning- (I sent all 6 injectors )---and I changed the thermostat and poppet.
Now today I was starting it on muffs- and no water sprayed out. I hooked it up to the block flush---and it coughed and choked and then water shot out of the tell all----but when I put it back on the muffs- nothing---
I've never had a problem with it- can the poppet or t-stat- if not working or somehow not installed right--could they cause this?
Also- I changed the map sensor- on top of the intake- on the block- and it seems to run/start a little better-----it used to stall --from when I started it- to got back to the motor- it would die. After I changed the map sensor- i could keep it idling for a few minutes- but then the alarm would go off----(temperature).
Its strange---I need to put it in a tank or lake- to see if its working right- the hose isn't always reality- I have not had water from tell all before (with hose) and it worked fine in the lake- Thank you
