Just got a new project 115 v4 Johnson <br />was looking for generl info, what year,best place<br />to by seals and such. mod J115TLCNB <br />ser# J5695767. what kind of reputation does this <br />motor have?

It is an 82, someone will be along with more info.<br />I havent heard anything bad but im sure no expert on the 115.

f-d,<br /><br />It is described as a "cross-flow".. One of the most durable engines ever made.<br /><br />They can be a bit thirsty, but they run well.

thanks for the info on the 115 / which manual/book<br />do you recomend, have found several. cant find <br />a Chiltons.

I would get the OEM manual from a dealer.<br /><br />If you can't find that, second choice-Seloc.

dude - be patient till you find the OMC - it is worth it.

These motors are real workhorses. Sturdy and reliable. That's why so many are running today.

My 1969 Johnson 115Hp V4 crossflow is still going strong. <br /><br />Get the factory service manual. Forget the aftermarket manuals if at all possible.
