i am re-powering my boat w/a 91 yamaha 115. it currently has an evinrude 70 on it. i have 2 problems.

i want a control box that works like my evinrude 2 lever. one lever for throttle when in neutral, and one for throttle/gear selection. can some one recomend a control box.

what prop should i start out with. its on a 1970 17'8" tri hull. its a chunky boat, as it was built in the infancy of fiberglass, so its thick.

There is something called Zero Effort that MerCruiser offers in a 2-lever control that could be used. That's the only one I know of. It's a horizontal surface mount.

Try a 17p prop.
