115 Yamaha trim and tilt leaks

If anyone knows anything about trim and tilt i would appreciate the advice you have to give. I just boust a 1999 19 Century Bay with a 115 Yam. I noticed that something was leaking in the water. When I checked to see what it was i saw fluid leaking from the hydrolic shaft on the trim. It was starting to make a funny noise atfer a few days when i used it so i filled the trim with fluid and it sounds better but it still leaks. When ever it is in the water you can see a small slick of oil leaking at all times, Any suggestions or do i have to buy a whole new trim and tilt?

First you must determine where the leak is. Repair can be as simple as tightening the cap if it has vibrated loose.

trim rams can be repacked or you can replace the seals

I had a crack in my reservoir right on the seem. This acually happened twice. The dealer said it was fairly common. I had the same thing with oil in the water and the tnt got real weak. Hope this helps.
