Start up, warm up, hole shot, blast sometimes a mile or more then complete shut down. Starts right back up but throttle more than idle shuts her down again. I idle back to slip, but sometimes I'm so far away and I keep trying throttle and sometimes she will take off again. The fuel pressure is not the cause, stays around 4 while running and does not change while the proplem is occurring. The engine does not miss a beat, back fire or run rough either when running well or when problem is occurring. Brand New plugs today, did link and sync, compression fine. Appreciate you reading and any help. This place is great!

Well the only thing left is to check for spark at shutdown - you can use a timing lite. This could be a trigger issue or wiring (it happened to me) if your motor has the distributor type ignition.

If you have spark when this happens, then open your carbs idle mixture screws 1/8 turn. My theory is that your carbs are too lean to allow acceleration.
