115hp merc. 4cyl. 2 stroke>>1994 or 94 0G013978>> WME 3301 carbs.
four carbs total..... #1 (top carb) and #2 have idle jet screws, #3 and #4 do not have idle jet screws. This is the design of the carb.
My question, all four carbs have two screw holes #1and #2 have the idle screw jet in the hole closest to the throttle plate and a plug in the back hole, #3 and #4 only have a plug in one of the two holes.. As I did not pay any attention which hole the plug came out of does the plug go in the front hole nearest the t plate or the back hole????? Also should not both holes be plugged??? I cannot find a full parts break down of this carb.
Another question >> why do only two of the carbs have adjustable idle adj, jets ??? Thanks

The top 2 carburetors have adjustable jets for low speed !!----That is because that motor only runs on the top 2 cylinders at idle.------The bottom 2 carburetors have a fixed amount of fuel going in to cool and lubricate the cylinders / pistons.------Not enuff to fire.----------You should not go about making changes / adjustments without reading the factory manual 3 times on that system.

thanks for the information.....
Still need to know on the bottom two carbs, whether the two threaded holes where the idle adjustment screw and the plug go on the top two carbs, have plugs in both holes or just one hole is plugged and if just one hole is plugged which one??

thanks.....stormmn

And why are you working on the carburetors ??----Very little can go wrong with them-------What other trouble shooting has been done ?---What is the motor doing / not doing ?
