Can get boat with new in the box mk trolling motor and new deep cyc. battery. For $500.00
can't read USCG tag , wanted to know how big hp. outboard I can use. Some say 20 hp. 2 stroke and 15 hp. 4 stroke. Boat has never been registered as it was on a private lake. N.C. Wildlife says a bill of sell , then apply for registration , through them and can register. At $35.00 a yr. I'm going to put on jet ski trailer then go through that stuff. I've got serial# at shop .

Looks like they are out of business. However, I would imagine a 30 minute search would come up with some data on appropriate HP. If all else fails, look up Starcraft and see what their ratings are.

Personally, I think any 12 footer would not be safe with more than 10 HP.

With a 20 HP I bet it would do a wheelie, or worse. A 9.9 would be max I would say with confidence.My brother had a 15 HP at his cabin on his 12' tinny and it went much too fast and was squirley driving it WOT. The kids weren't allowed to drive it.
