Hello
Have a problem with my 12 volt power socket on my pontoon. I have a 2008 24 foot sunchaser with a 90hp 4-stroke EFI, every time a plug something into it it blows the adapters. I have a couple cell charger it blew, a small car inverter, etc. It's not blowing the fuse in the boat though. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a polarity issue. Double check that the + & - accessory cables are connected properly to the battery.

Re: 12 volt power outlet issue

Like Snowfish said, sounds like the polarity is reversed. Do you have a multi-meter to test? Have you been able to plug anything else into the outlet? My train of thought is if you are having issues with fused or digital plugs, then they would blow because of the polarities being crossed, if you plug in something like an inflater for tow-able toys and such, it would work, just run in the reverse direction. If you need help narrowing it down, PM me and we can see what you may have available to test the outlet.

Thanks a lot! I think you are right with polarity. Had the dealer install a new depth finder and they must of connected the wires in reverse! I will try a pump like you suggested and call the dealer too. Thanks for your help again.
