I rebuilt the carbs on my 1988 J120TLCCA. Not realizing all the jets are different sizes. I am wondering if anyone knows where each one goes. There is two on each carb to a total of 8. HELP please.

You can check out the factory exploded parts diagram for your engine. The carb diagram should show you which jets go where: epc.brp.com

I looked in a manual but it only showed one carb and there are 4. The jets I have are different sizes and I'm not sure which go where.

Go to where emdsapmgr said, look up your mtr and the jet sizes are shown for your carbs. I was just there.

Yes it does show one carb but the four cards all have different sizes. I think I have a 50 51 47 41and a couple others they are not in front of me right now. That diagram only showed one carb. Unless I'm missing something. Thanks for the help

Re: 120hp 1988 moved jets

You may be somewhat confused by the way the factory depicts their parts diagrams. In this case the exploded parts diagram covers two nearly identical engines, the 120 and the 140. Both engines are listed/use the same parts list. So, as you look for one particular jet, for say item #19 on the drawing, two part numbers are listed. As I read my parts lists, the first listed (#19) jet is for the 120 carb. The second listed (#19) jet is for the 140 carb. The parts diagram I use lets you click on the number and it opens up another window, showing the applicable hp engine for that particular jet. You'll want to match up your jet sizes with the correct hp engine. It'll make sense once you chart them down on paper. Maybe best to make a hard copy of the carb diagram and then mark the jet sizes down next to the item number.

OK get what your saying but your not listening to what I'm saying. All four carbs have different jets. I have an assortment of jet sizes that were in the carbs for this engine. This parts diagram is only showing one. What about the other three??? I do not have enough of one size to make them all the same. Does anyone have this exact engine to look at it. Thanks jeff

Got it. OMC may put different jets in some carbs on the same engine. Just like some heads have different compression on cylinders on the same head-a more common practice in later years. (They occasionally would reduce compression on the bottom cyls of both heads a V6.) This all had to do with providing enough fuel to cool all cyls equally when at WOT. The factory changes to the same location jet in different carbs is usually called out on the parts lists, but may not be for the factory parts list for your engine. Sounds like a question for the experts, Bombardier customer service. Why not give them a call at 847-689-7090
