I have been reading that they now calculate H.P. different now, prop rather than flywheel. So what does my 76' merc 120 relate to now at the prop? 100hp?
115hp i think the 120 got quoted at when it became a 2.5L.. not as i think merc HP figures are anything more than a nice neat line-up range.. when they dropped the 2.5 and the bottom of the line engine became the 3.0L which was a 3 litre block with a 2.5 head stuck on top it still got rated at 115 hp..<br /><br />trog100
