125 force hot water

i got my engine started and did not have any water shooting out,i feplaved the water pump op impeller and now i got water shooting out but the water is really hot,could this be my thermostat

The water coming out should be hot. The water gets heated up as it circulates through the hot block and head before it exits the motor.
