125hp or 150hp

Hey guys need some help
I posted on the lund forum, but no responses.
I'm looking at a 18.5 foot lund explorer(1825). alum. fishimg boat.
It has a opti 125. Max hp is 150.
i was thinking of upgradeing to 150, but it aint cheap. I am willing to pay the extra.
Is there a big diff between the two motors. Im thinking the v6 150hp would be better bottom end power.
any input appreciated.

The V6 will give better bottom end power. Top end will be pretty close. You are in the correct range (within 75% of max) of power with that Opti. I would run it a bit before shelling out the extra dough for the new motor.

+1 on above comment.

It still should run great on 125 hp. May not be worth the cash outlay for the little difference.
