Re: 130 john overheating

are there any thru-hull fittings, transducers, or speedo pickups within 14" of the motor's centerline or within 3' forward of the motor?

If so, those can disturb the water flow to the intake screens on the gearcase?

Re: 130 john overheating

if in fact it was not overheating, and its a story I get a lot. check the t-stats and double check the pump kit is the correct part# for the model number.
if all is correct its time to remove the heads and check for sand or mud.
