I purchased a Y 2000 135 Optimax in 2003 (new from dealer and in a crate). Ever since then, I have had problems with the Idiot light and temop alarm going off. It is used in saltwater exclusively (Ft Lauderdale). It is a fresh water cooled motor. If I take off the cowling, the alarm stops. Put in on and it goes off. Is this a common problem with this unit? It runs at 170 degrees.
