I have a 135HP 1990 and I notice little specks of gas on top of the water behind the engine looks like its coming from the exhaust could this be a too rich problem or do all 2 strokes do this Thanks Bob

All non-direct injection 2 cycle motors will dump some unburned fuel into the water. The question is whether that is what you are seeing or is it from flooding carbs or leaking fuel pump?

Re: 135 HP too rich or not

Typically, a rich running 135/150 will be smoking more than usual. It may just be tired and not holding fuel well. A compression test might tell you more. If it were mine, it would be the first thing I'd do before I started throwing parts at it. The fuel consumption on these V-6 2.0l motors is pretty nasty. The 135 is just a 150 with smaller carbs so it's about as miserly as you're going to get it.

Next time on the muffs remove cowl and look for leaks while engine running.Normal for a bit of fuel to come out with exhaust on all 2 strokes.
