Would like to go to a 4 blade for a better hole shot and staying on plan at slower speeds. I'm looking at a 14x20 four blade is this the right direction? 20' wellcraft nova spyder 350 magnum alpha one with a 1.67 gear. Thanks in advance for the help

What are you currently running, and what are the RPMs at WOT? Minimum planing speed isn't controlled by the prop. Hull design, engine trim, and load distribution are bigger factors here. Trim tabs on the boat can lower the speed the boat planes.

4800. Gps says 45 mph the current prop is pretty chewed up. It's a 14.25x21

I don't have trim tabs. I trim the boat accordingly to my speed. I have just read that a four blade will help at lower rpm's . I guess the rule of thumb is you down size going to a four blade prop.
