picked up this boat early last year for $50 (boat and trailer)
it was just a basic aluminum boat with no seats, motor, lights, etc...
I decided to fix it up some and just use a trolling motor on it for a small lake near my house.
I didn't take any photos of it when it was bare, but here is one from when i first sprayed it green....diggin my deck and fishing seat...and how 'bout those rod holders...

List of things done to the boat...
1) full floor
2) 47# foot controlled trolling motor (converted it to transom mount, and hand controlled)
3) made a bimini top for it
4) made a electronic control box with battery guages, 12v accessory outlets, bilge pump control, live well pump and running lights
5) oh yeah, used a cooler to make live well in middle of boat, also serves as a seat
6) mounted battery on each side of 'live well' and made small seat platforms over them for my younger kids
7) 2 swivel bass seats
8) painted boat again, and trailer
9) finally, made storage boxes on each side of the boat, just infront of rear seat

Nice work DJ:) That paint job sure is an eyecatcher, nice lines to it.

If you need a cheap aluminum boat bring a trailer hitch next time you're in Michigan. We have them for sale all over and pretty cheap too. Routinely see them for <300.

one of the nice things i did with this one is the wiring for the trolling motor. it was a selectable 12v/24v...so with one flip of my switch, i could change the batteries from being 12v (parallel) to 24v (series)

that was a fun little boat....i miss her <sniff> <sniff>
she was called DAHA..
have to call the next one DAHA II

Awesome job! I just picked up a similar boat and your project has given me some great ideas. The paint looks awesome and really does give the boat a different look. :)

The boat I have is a 15ft. "Sports Craft" , that's exactly how it is spelled on the title. Doesn't have a tag on the body anywhere so I'm just going off the title. It has the same seat arrangement as your boat and even came with a cooler already mounted dead center much like yours. Yours looks much more finished in every detail!

Man, hope you get another boat and can post more cool pics! :D

mrdjflores, nice little project there. I relay like what you did to it, can't blame you for making a profit on it either.

Re: 14' aluminum semi-v conversion

going through some old paperwork and i found the title for this boat....i sold it out of state and the gentleman didn't want the title or transfer it....was going to be on a private pond/lake and didn't need any paperwork...

and i still have to pay the taxes on it each year....$4
