Hi. I went to look at a 14' fibreglass fishing boat. My question is....will I be better off with aluminum (for this kinda boat , its a 14' fishing boat tiller steering)...or is fibre ok even for these type of boats?

Take your pick. There is good and poor quality in either. Aluminum is noisier, something you might want to think about if fishing.

this should be in Boat topics, f/g is going to be heavier, than aluninum, and require more horse power to achieve the same goal. althought f/g made sit more stable in the water.

Hi. Thanks for replies. What about in the sense of durability. Wich one is easier to damage, and wich one is easier to repair? Thanks

Well, aluminum boats are generally easier to repair. You can rivet a patch over holes or tears. As far as damage goes, it depends. Aluminum will dent in some situations where fiberglass will fracture. Dents don't sink boats. Fiberglass fractures can.

Someone mentioned noise. I've found that floor mats take care of the noise pretty much.
