Both Johnson & Evinrude had a "14RSXXXX" comercial engine between 81' and 91'. The model and serial number can be found on the port transom bracket on a tag or on a welch plug on the block.

Thanks OBJ. It's an Evinrude 14hp SPL. I found a silver looking welch plug at the rear of the powerhead with what looks like it might be a serial # H1842869. Can I cross reference somewhere and find a model #? I would like to order a factory manual if possible.<br /><br />Dave..
