I just bought a 97 suntracker partyhut 30' with a 93 Evinrude 90 hp v4 outboard. The 14 X 13 aluminum prop is bent. I used the prop calculator from www.watercraftservices.com and it shows a 14 X 13 for speed and a 14 X 11 for power which is what I need. A local flea market has a 13 3/4 X 13 SS (part # 392261) prop that looks new for $100. It already has the right hub installed and ready to mount, but I know nothing about these things and don't want to waste $100. Will that prop work or do I need to order a new 14 X 11 aluminum prop. Can't afford a new ss right now.

What should the WOT RPMs be for that motor? Test driving this boat it ran about 4200 and would loose its bite and suck air or something when I made a turn causing the boat to slow and the motor to rev to about 4500. I would have to back off the throttle to get it to bite again. I am hoping that the bent prop is causing that.

Your looking for the high side of 5,000. Based on your numbers a 4 blade 10" pitch.
Aluminum should work fine.Lets face it a 30footer isn't going to gain much with a stainless anyway.A 4 blade should work better for docking manuvers and resist venting"sucking air".

I can't find a four blade 14 X 10 prop online anywhere.
