have you ever heard of a product called JB weld? I have used this stuff on many different applications and it is great. i have sealed exterior cracks in blocks, repaired dishwashers, and sealed plumbing pipes, just to mention a few.. the main thing would be to get the effected area super clean (no oil) before making the patch......there is no reason you could not repair an oil pan with it .

One time when I was porting some chevy 350 heads I ground into the water jacket..I thought all was lost!! Put JB weld in the hole and never had a problem...ran it for two years!! The previous post is right though...got to have it grease free and very clean..but it will work. Hell, just wash it with dawn dishwashing soap and make sure to brush or grind away any corrosion..

forgot to say...when you put it in the hole...kinda spread it to where it mushrooms on both sides...spread it out thin on the outside (like feathering Bondo..) I have also used JB weld in numerous situations where it was exposed to gasoline and oil. It works...
