anyone have a diagram of the trim pump assmbly for the 79 140 hp

check your manual release plug. If it has a brass seat then you can't fix it anyway. Assuming that you have steel check-valve seats then ....
the tall spring goes with the down pressure regulation valve
the up PRV spring gets 3-5 shims
the down PRV spring gets 1-3 shims
the small bypass valve spring may or may not have a brass washer under it

after assembly, pressure test. disassemble and shim as needed to achieve correct pressures. Add shims to increase and remove shims to decrease.

i dont have the motor yet, my brother thinks he didnt get the motor shaft set all the way down into the pump, just wondering if anyone had a exploded diagram of the assy. thanks RRit, i lived in ft Meyers for a little while, did alot of plumbing for new homes in the area back around 89, lived in crime manor

then loosen the four screws on bottom of valve body and motor armature should start spinning. if its a new motor being put onto existing valve body then that is a common problem. If he opened up the motor then it is more likely to be the brushes.

i think he changed the brushes when he put it back together, i will check thanks, the motor does work.
