I am trying to find the most cost effective way for trolling with my boat. I have an 18ft. aluminum with a 140HP Johnson on it. The slowest I can get it to troll is 5mph. I have seen the trolling plates you can mount on the cav. plate to reduce speed while trolling. I would like to get down to around 1.5 mph. Any ideas or suggestions on a trolling plate?
