Hello everyone! I'm looking at a 14ft Alumnacraft boat, but the age is unknown. Can anyone identify the boats approximate age and value by this picture? Thanks!

Your pictures aren't working here

I got the picture links when I used the "quote" feature...
My 1965 Alumacraft Maracaibo runabout has that same decal on the side if that helps.

if you look on the knee brace at the bottom center of the transom, there should be a model number and serial number stamped on it.

Thanks for the information!! The picture links will work for awhile, then nothing.... not sure what's going on there. I was thinking late 60's by other pictures I've found. What would you consider a good price for the boat, a barely used 6hp yamaha (newer, not sure of the year on that either) and an older trolling motor?

I'm sure there are market variations between our demographics....
( I'm in Michigan where there are more registered boats than any other stae in the USA )

THe boat looks like someone took some sort of power tool to the outside of the hull? A sander perhaps?

If it has a nice trailer, a nice motor, and no leaks or loose rivets, in my neck of the woods I'd say around $300 to $500 +/-
but that's here and I'm a pretty radical haggler 8)

Is the Yamaha a 4 stroke?

Yes, I believe he used a sander or wire brush on the outside. I would eventually want to do something to make it look better.

This is my friends boat and he wants to trade for an 82 Honda Nighthawk motorcycle, I'm just trying to decide if it's a good deal or not. Not sure on the outboard. I think he was looking to get 500-800 if he doesn't trade it.

I appreciate the info you've been able to give me.

Glad to help Strosk...
Tell your friend he would be better off selling the boat
or keeping the boat....
the boat and motor will hold their value LONG after that 1982 Nighthawk has been turned into Dr. Pepper cans.8)
