15 hp Force no spark need to identify

i got late 80's early 90's force 15 hp i picked up trying to nail down the year and what i might look for. has good compression getting fuel no spark. i though maybe it was the stop button or emergency stop but that doesnt seem to make a difference. prolly something a lil deeper. model number i think is 152BFA its hard to read but thats what i got and serial number is 1111 any help greatly appreciated!!!!

152BFA - the letter "F" should be a digit, 4-5-6-7-8-or 9.
That digit is the last digit in the year, "8" would indicate 198 "8"

Thanks ill double check that tonight. Any thoughts on where to start with the no spark!?

removed some grease 152F8A 1988 model any ideas on where to start looking for the lack of spark

Start with the easiest. if the engine has points check those, if it has electronic ignition. start with the coil and cd box. I just had to replace my cd because ihad no spark to 1 cyl. you can also check the stator and trigger. there is directions on how to do this on my post "first ride was kind of a success but I need help" mine is a 1990 with electronic ignition no pionts.

thankd for the linki read that and thought wow dont be a coil! 100 bucks a piece! yikes lol. so i pulled the flywheel cleaned the points they had a grey sludge powder all over em. re gapped em. also took some 320 to the magnetic pickup on the flywheel and the coils just a light surface rust came right off. put it back together and fired it right up!!! ran it for 20 mins first 20 were pretty smokey! but its up and running! thanks guys!
