15 hp Gamefisher Questions

I just bought a boat and I would like to know what year and some other answers. The Model number is 225587151. It seemed like it was running hot when i put in the garbage can. I just had the lower unit off and the impeller looked good and all the passages looked ok. What else is there that I can check before I put it in the water. Is there a T-stat on these? It seemed to run alright and everything looks good exept it seemed a little hot for the little time i was running it. Maybe I was just paranoid of it. <br />Thanks<br />Chris

Actually, you'll need to replace the hyphen with a period on that site for the model number.

More trouble, I just put it in the water and it overheated. It pumps water when im in neutral but once I start moving it doesnt pump water and it overheated. Is there anyway to get more water to come through the intake? It will only pump water for a minute or so that it stops. I cant figure out whats wrong with it.<br />Chris
