15 HP merc driving me nuts.

I have been playing with my 15 HP 1994 Merc all summer. It just seems to keep running out of gas. I have cleaned carb and put new gaskets in it and the primer. I have replaced the fuel pump. Compression is at 90 psi in both cylinders. Spark is there. Checked the new gaskets to see if holes line up with ports. Replaced fuel line and primer bulb. I can get it start when cool but after about 5 minutes it shuts down and won't start again. If I put some ether into carb, it will fire but not start. I'm stumped and any straws to grasp at would be appreciated.

Try opening up the low speed screw more. Another thing did you look at the ball and spring under the primer.

Primer feels normal, I did have one where the ball had moved up the spring, that was fun. load speed screw didn't help. Thanks for the idea though.

I did change the primer bulb and fuel line earlier this summer and used line from a auto parts store and and after market primer bulb. Did I read somewhere that after market bulbs won't work with Merc's?

The " bulb " is not magic.---------It is simply a manually operated pump.--------------It saves your starter motor or your shoulders from using the pump on the motor to fill the bowl/s.

I did notice that when the motor runs in the barrel for a few minutes that the water turns milky white, what does that indicate.
