Just this last spring I aquired(well,purchased,...actually,however you choose to word it)a new 2010 Lund A-14 with a 15 HP Mercury four stroke outboard that has a Yamaha powerhead(Serial number is 1B487957,...check it if you don't believe me because the motor is a leftover 2007 model). Still in "break-in",but so far ,running great with excellent fuel economy. What I can't get over is how quiet and smooth this little motor idles. I am at the point in break-in that I can run her 3/4 throttle most of time, still varying speed,of course, and with short 20 second runs at full throttle. With the A-14 being a lightweight boat, this motor has her on plane at just ever so slightly past 1/2
throttle,if not RIGHT AT 1/2 throttle. At speeds above idle, she still runs smooth,...ahhh,the beauty of Mercury's four strokes!;)
