I have a great 40hp outboard with a 15 inch leg. I am wondering if it will work on a 17 inch transom, or what kind of boats (cheaper used) might be ok for this size of power and length?
I can cut one of my older boats transom down some, but, don't wish to cut it any further than needed...i.e. is 17 inch ok, or 16 inch etc?
