My 1989 150 Black Max has the oil injection alarm sounding whenever I encounter rough water, and the alarm stops when I slow down. The engine is getting plenty of oil and cooling water therefore I'm gonna guess its a sensor. Can anybody tell me where the sensor is on this engine that would cause this problem, im not that good with outboards.

Thanks in advance!

If the main oil tank is up to the fill line, (No farther), your problem will likly be a bit of air in the under cowl tank. With the engine running at an Idle, (Works better for me on the muffs), losten the cap and let a bit of oil ooz out around the cap, then tighten it. Be carefull and dont over do it, they break easily, this purges the air out.
