need info on these motors as I am thinking about buying a boat with one. I've heard their junk. Wondering how much this would reduce the price of the boat compared to a Merc. or yammie.
It depends on the year, Eflactem.<br /><br />The Ficht V6 engines made before 2001 have a (well earned) terrible reputation. I would avoid them or buy a boat with the intention of replacing it immediately.<br /><br />The 2001 and later Bombardier V6 (now called DFI) engines seem reliable.<br /><br />Good luck.
