1992 motor.fished about a hour,started engine,ran for maybe 5 seconds,died.started right back up,same thing about 3 more times.made it to marina.same thing.4or5 hours later,hit the key ran like new.stumped,if anyone has ideas i sure would appreciate it,roy

Sounds like a fuel issue. Check lines and primer bulb, tank vent. Good Luck!

check the pressure at the fuel pump and check your coil wire leads if they are rusty u will need to replace about 1 inch of wire

Were the spark plugs wet or dry when it shut off?

thanks for the replys everyone.new fuel lines and bulb.new fuel module.plugs ,normal.last time out run real low on fuel.added seafoam to dry any moisture in tank.am pulling tank this week and cleaning,also going to check ing.switch.also coil wires.will post after next run.thanks to all,roy
