I have a Johnson 150 Ficht 150FSXECR and recently had to replace the flywheel cover as it had split. When I took it for a test run it threw a code 17 low alternator voltage. The only electrical thing I touched was the crankshaft position sensor which I thought I had put back to previous position. I gave it a couple of turns clockwise and off we went, no further problem. The voltage on the instruments was reading 13.5. When I got home I read the manual (not while I was fitting it
) and it gave a measurement from the crankshaft of 0.05 inch well I noticed the old setting it was just visible through the slot in the flywheel cover, I assumed that was what it was for, more like 3/4 of an inch from the flywheel. Does this sound normal? The manual also said if certain parts, including the flywheel cover, were replaced or removed a set up procedure via the software must be executed. As the engine ran well enough and stopped and started ok a few times is this necessary?
thanks
